The battle for second place is tight with Rochester (6-2) and Onondaga Jr. Redhawks (6-3) currently with 12 points. The two squared off in Week 6 with Onondaga coming away with a 17-5 victory.

The short-handed J-Hawks did manage two wins over the weekend to stay in the race for the league championship. Coach Craig Whipple was satisfied with the results, under the circumstances.

“We had low numbers [players], but were able to go 2-1 over the weekend,” commented Whipple. “We had a tough loss at Onondaga, but were able to grind out a win in Vermont.”
