Swarm Host Bandits In Crucial Division Matchup

Sunday afternoon in St. Paul will decide many things about how the NLL | National Lacrosse League regular season might look come playoff time. A win today would clinch at least a playoff spot for the Buffalo Bandits (8-3), who have their eyes set on a division title and automatic bye to the conference final. They face the Minnesota Swarm (2-9), desperate for their first home victory this season.

While Buffalo is in a heated battle with the Rochester Knighthawks (9-3) for the top spot in the division, the third playoff spot in the east is still very-much undecided. Toronto Rock (5-8) and Philadelphia Wings (4-9) currently are ahead of Minnesota, but a Swarm win over Buffalo would tighten the 3-team race. Minnesota does hold the tie-breaker against the Wings, winning the season series 2-1. Toronto will close the season at Minnesota on April 26.

With their season literally near a conclusion, the Swarm will try to repeat their late-season run of 2013. A record-setting 21-7 victory over Buffalo last April was part of a run that saw Minnesota to the conference championship game.

Game time at Xcel Energy Center is scheduled for 1:00 PM (CT). Fans unable to attend can watch live on YouTube via The Lacrosse Network | TLN.
