Toronto Face Tough NLL Week 10

Toronto to face Calgary on Saturday.

The second half of the National Lacrosse League | NLL season is set to begin this week. Week 10 offers just three games on the schedule with the Toronto Rock playing twice in Alberta. The Rock (4-4) will play league-leading Edmonton Rush (7-0) on Friday night before traveling to face Calgary Roughnecks (5-3) on Saturday. Both games air live on TSN in Canada. Cable subscribers may view on WatchESPN, but satellite viewers will not have access.

Toronto currently sit in third place, the final playoff position in the East. Philadelphia (3-7) and Minnesota (2-7) are both chasing that spot and with a pair of Rock losses would be right in the mix. The Rock are 0-3 on the road this season and will be facing the top two teams in the West.

The Rush will look to remain undefeated this season, led by their swarming defense. Edmonton have given up just 54 goals in their seven league games so far with goalie Aaron Bold posting a 6-0 record and a .812 save% in those victories. A balanced scoring attack has also been key in the Rush winning streak.

Calgary will welcome the Rock to the Saddledome on Saturday night looking to continue their 3-game win streak. The Roughnecks won a thrilling 11-10 come-from-behind game last weekend against the defending NLL champion Rochester.

In the other NLL matchup, Rochester Knighthawks (5-3) will face the Colorado Mammoth (4-6) Saturday night in Denver. The game will air live on The Lacrosse Network and on Altitude TV 2.
