Toronto Rock will host Philadelphia on Friday to kick off Week 7 of the National Lacrosse League | NLL. The matchup could go a long way in sorting out the Eastern Division. Toronto (2-3) will need to win at home in order to keep up with division-leading Buffalo (5-1). It will the first of two games for the Wings (3-3) on the weekend, who play host to Edmonton on Saturday. Philadelphia have won their past two games after starting the season 1-3. Buffalo will try and prove they are indeed contenders when they travel to Rochester (3-2).

Things are tight in the NLL West with the exception of league-leader Edmonton (5-0). Second-place Calgary (2-3) are in St. Paul to face the Minnesota Swarm (1-4) while Colorado (3-5) face Vancouver (2-5) to try and stay in the race.

It’s Week 2 in Canadian Lacrosse League play after three of the five teams opened their season last weekend. Niagara came out with two home victories to begin their quest for the Creator’s Cup. The Lock Monsters (2-0) will travel to rematch Barrie Blizzard (0-1) on Sunday afternoon. Barrie will face Durham on Saturday.

Two teams who did not play last weekend will face each other on Saturday night. SouthWest Cyclops will take on the Ohsweken Demons at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
